About

Why the mascot is a skunk

A skunk has no size advantage and no speed. It doesn't need either. It walks into a room and the room reorganizes itself around it.

That's the strategy. RUKUS is small on purpose and out-produces shops many times its size, because the production model is different, not because the headcount is bigger.

Create A Rukus LLC, founded in Utah in 2026 by Dallin Merrill, who spent his career building content operations for financial services and education brands. Which is why the work looks like presentations and courses rather than billboards.

What it builds now is narrower and better for it: presentations an audience takes part in, and courses people finish.

The method

How we actually use it

AI is the production engine here and we're not coy about it. First drafts, page scaffolding, video cuts, variations. The work that used to eat the middle two weeks of every project.

It isn't making the decisions. Positioning, structure, what gets cut, and whether something is actually good still come from a person, and that never got cheaper.

Where it falls down

It's confidently wrong about detail. It writes copy that reads fine and says nothing. Left alone it produces work that is competent and forgettable, the exact failure this studio exists to avoid.

So what you are paying for

Direction and the last twenty percent. The speed is real. The reason the work is worth your name on it is that a person with taste sat between the tool and the deliverable.

What we believe

01

Presence over volume

A skunk does not chase attention. It walks in and the room reorganizes itself. No size advantage, no speed, no volume. Just presence.

02

Taste is the scarce part

Production got cheap this year. Judgment did not. Anyone can generate a hundred versions, which is exactly why picking the right one became the whole job.

03

We would rather you not need us

Every engagement is built so your team could run it without us. It costs us repeat work and it is still right.

How we write

If you wouldn't say it out loud to a client, it doesn't go in the copy. Jargon is a hiding place.
